More information about Tramari Rosé di Primitivo IGP - Cantine San Marzano

The elegant Tramari Rosé di Primitivo from Cantine San Marzano comes into the glass with a bright raspberry-pink color. This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with 7 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine at the upper end of the price range, this Italian wine delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. This crisp rosé wine is balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. The Tramari Rosé di Primitivo is extraordinarily fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this youthful rosé wine from the wine-growing region of Apulia, more precisely from Salento IGT, is impressive with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Tramari Rosé di Primitivo from Cantine San Marzano

The basis for the balanced Tramari Rosé di Primitivo from Apulia is grapes from the Primitivo grape variety. In Apulia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Dining recommendations for Cantine San Marzano Tramari Rosé di Primitivo

This Italian rosé wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It goes perfectly with coconut and lime fish curry, spaghetti with yoghurt and mint pesto or vegetable salad with beetroot.
