The barrel-aged Barbera d'Alba from the wine-growing region of Piedmont presents itself in a bright ruby red in the glass. This dry red wine from Fontanafredda is for wine lovers who can't drink their wine dry enough. The Barbera d'Alba comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 0.6 grams of residual sugar. This velvety red wine is balanced and complex on the palate. Thanks to the moderate fruit acidity, the Barbera d'Alba flatters the palate with a velvety sensation without lacking freshness. The finish of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Piedmont, more precisely from Barbera d'Alba DOC, ultimately delights with a good finish.
Vinification of the Barbera d'Alba from Fontanafredda
The basis for the balanced Barbera d'Alba from Italy are grapes from the Barbera grape variety. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Barbera d'Alba can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months. Once the wine is finished, the Barbera d'Alba is carefully harmonized.
