The Paolo Manzone Ruvej Barolo is a first-class red wine in a glass. It offers a wonderfully dense, ruby red color. There is also a transition to garnet red at the edges. The first nose of the Ruvej Barolo presents nuances of blackberries, morello cherries and mulberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.

The Ruvej Barolo from Paolo Manzone is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it is never austere or brittle. This dense red wine is powerful and complex on the palate. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, Ruvej Barolo is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this very mature red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, or more precisely from Barolo DOCG, is impressive with its remarkable persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay and limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of Ruvej Barolo by Paolo Manzone

The basis for the powerful Ruvej Barolo from Piedmont are grapes from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. The berries for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimum ripeness. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Once it has finished, the Ruvej Barolo can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 38 months.

Dining recommendations for the Ruvej Barolo by Paolo Manzone

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with ossobuco, lemon-chilli chicken with bulgur or rocket penne.
