More information about Bramaterra - Barni

The barrel-aged Bramaterra from the wine-growing region of Piedmont presents itself in the glass with a dense ruby red color. This Italian cuvée reveals wonderfully complex notes of sour cherry, plum, currant and blackberry in the glass. There are also hints of other fruits.

This Italian wine impresses with its straightforward, dry flavor profile. It was bottled with an exceptionally low residual sugar content. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian, despite all its dryness, delights with the finest balance. Aroma simply does not necessarily require sugar. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an exceedingly dense, velvety and fleshy texture. The finish of this red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region ultimately captivates with a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the volcanic rock-dominated soils.

Vinification of Barni Bramaterra

This powerful red wine from Italy is vinified from the grape varieties Uva Rara, Croatina and Nebbiolo. In Piedmont, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of volcanic rock. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures follows. Fermentation is then followed by 24 months of aging in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Bramaterra from Barni

This Italian red wine should ideally be enjoyed at a temperature of 15–18°C. It is perfectly suited as an accompaniment to braised chicken in red wine, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, or ossobuco.
