This powerful Italian red wine is made from the Primitivo grape variety. The grapes for this Doppio Passo from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand at the optimal ripeness. After handpicking, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. The fermentation then takes place in large wood tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Doppio Passo Appassimento is aged for another 12 months in oak barrels.
