More information about Ferrari Perlé - Ferrari
The Ferrari Perlé - Ferrari captures the light in the glass with a radiant straw yellow, delicately underpinned by a persistent, elegant perlage. On the nose, a multifaceted interplay unfolds of fresh lemon, ripe yellow fruit, and subtle notes of brioche and roasted almonds. Discreet hints of white blossoms, a touch of linden honey, and a whisper of mineral spice lend the bouquet depth and nobility.
On the palate, this Trento DOC sparkling wine appears precise, clear, and distinguished. The fine-beaded carbonation carries the Chardonnay with dancing lightness across the tongue, while a firm yet perfectly integrated acidity provides lively tension. The flavor shows citrus freshness, juicy pear, a touch of apple, and a delicate nutty creaminess reminiscent of fresh brioche. The mouthfeel remains light, while at the same time the wine fills the palate with impressive length and elegant structure.
The style presents itself dry in a brut vinification, with impressive finesse and clear contours. Precisely placed tannins play no role in this sparkling wine; instead, the harmonious combination of acidity, creaminess, and fine perlage dominates. The texture feels silky and persistent, the finish lingering long with citrus zest, subtle toast, and finely spiced undertones.
The single-varietal Chardonnay comes from the traditional winegrowing region of Trentino-Alto Adige, more precisely from the renowned Trento DOC appellation. The high-altitude sites around Trento give the grapes freshness, complexity, and a distinctive, alpine elegance. The Ferrari estate has been one of the leading figures of this region for decades and has decisively shaped the style of premium sparkling wines from the Dolomites.

Production of Ferrari Perlé – Ferrari
The grapes for Ferrari Perlé - Ferrari come from selected vineyards in Trentino-Alto Adige, whose sites are shaped by their proximity to the Dolomites. An alpine climate with cool nights and sunny days gives the Chardonnay freshness, aromatic clarity, and impressive structure. The soils consist predominantly of calcareous, partly stony subsoils, interspersed with dolomite rock and moraine gravel, which lends the finished wine a distinctive mineral signature.
The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand, parcel by parcel, as soon as the grapes show optimal aromatic ripeness. Only sound, fully ripe grape material reaches the winery, where gentle pressing takes place. The must flows off gently in order to preserve the fine fruit of the Chardonnay and keep unwanted bitter substances at bay.
The first fermentation takes place under temperature control, predominantly in stainless steel tanks, to preserve freshness, clarity, and varietal character. This is followed by traditional bottle fermentation using the classic method, as is also used for great sparkling wines from France. The second fermentation in the bottle creates the fine, long-lasting perlage and the typical yeast notes of brioche, toast, and nuts.
Over an extended period, the wine matures on the lees in the bottle, which intensifies structure, creaminess, and complexity. Regular riddling gently sets the lees in motion until they finally collect in the neck of the bottle and are removed by disgorgement. After disgorgement, the wine receives a carefully adjusted dosage that shapes the brut style and harmoniously balances freshness, fruit, and elegance.
The style of the Ferrari estate is based on precision, patience, and uncompromising selection. Every bottle reflects the Lunelli family’s ambition to connect the alpine origin of Trento with international sparkling wine culture. The Ferrari Perlé - Ferrari expresses this philosophy with impressive clarity: a sparkling wine with character, depth, and an unmistakable note of origin.
Serving recommendations for Ferrari Perlé – Ferrari
Ferrari Perlé - Ferrari pairs excellently with a wide range of refined dishes. Thanks to its fresh citrus note and elegant structure, it accompanies particularly light-colored and delicate dishes with style. The fine perlage and brut style showcase the aromas on the plate to great effect without overpowering them.
- Marinated scallops or carpaccio of white fish
- Sashimi and sushi with delicate soy sauce
- Poultry terrine, fine poultry rillettes, tender chicken breast
- Risotto with seafood or mushrooms
- Light pasta dishes with lemon or herb sauces
- Delicate appetizer platters with premium fish and seafood
As a companion for festive occasions, this Trento DOC lends every moment a special touch. Whether a stylish dinner, family celebration, or elegant reception, Ferrari Perlé - Ferrari underscores the setting with understated opulence. It shows its full radiance particularly on New Year’s Eve, when its finely sparkling mousseux underscores the anticipation of the new year.
The optimal serving temperature is around 8 to 10 °C. A slender sparkling wine glass or an elegant white wine glass presents the fine perlage and complex bouquet ideally. Serving it too warm makes the structure seem soft, while temperatures that are too cold mask the aromatic depth. A well pre-chilled cellar or wine fridge is ideal for perfect preparation.
Ferrari Perlé - Ferrari already shows enormous finesse and expression in its youth, but gains additional complexity with a few years of bottle age. A storage potential of up to five years from the vintage appears realistic, provided the bottles are kept dark, low in vibration, and consistently cool. Over time, the brioche and nut notes become more intense, while the citrus aromas appear subtler and more multi-layered. In this way, a sparkling wine emerges that fascinates immediately and also captivates with patient maturity.
