More information about Filari Lunghi Dolcetto d'Alba DOC - Brandini
The elegant Filari Lunghi Dolcetto d'Alba from the house of Brandini shimmers into the glass with a bright ruby red. If you give it some air in the glass by swirling, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, since it does not appear watery, syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Italy displays wonderfully fragrant aromas of raspberry, sour cherry and elderberry, rounded off by further fruity nuances.
This red from Brandini is just the thing for all wine lovers who prefer as little residual sugar in their wine as possible. At the same time, it never appears meager or austere, as one would naturally expect from a premium and single-vineyard wine. Balanced and multi-layered, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to the moderate acidity, the Filari Lunghi Dolcetto d'Alba caresses the palate with a velvety mouthfeel, without lacking in freshness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region finally delights with a lovely length. Once again, hints of sour cherry and raspberry appear.
Vinification of Brandini Filari Lunghi Dolcetto d'Alba
The basis for the balanced Filari Lunghi Dolcetto d'Alba from Italy is grapes of the Dolcetto variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
