More information about Rocche del Santo Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC - Brandini
The powerful Rocche del Santo Barbera d'Alba Superiore from the house of Brandini flows into the glass with a dense ruby red color. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals high viscosity, which shows in church windows on the rim of the glass. This pure-varietal Italian wine reveals wonderfully fragrant notes of blackcurrants and blackberries in the glass. Nuances of licorice and cocoa are also present.
The Brandini Rocche del Santo Barbera d'Alba Superiore delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with only 1.2 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and thus this Italian, for all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Powerful and multi-faceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Rocche del Santo Barbera d'Alba Superiore reveals itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and vibrant. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, more precisely from Barbera d'Alba DOC, ultimately captivates with a remarkable length.
Vinification of the Rocche del Santo Barbera d'Alba Superiore from Brandini
This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Barbera. For this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Brandini, only flawless grape material was harvested. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After it has finished, the Rocche del Santo Barbera d'Alba Superiore can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.
