The Fuflus from Vallarom in Trentino-Alto Adige displays a bright, purple-red color in the wine glass. In the glass, this red wine from Vallarom offers aromas of plums and blackberries, complemented by pepper, coffee/mocha and chocolate. On the palate, Vallarom’s Fuflus opens pleasantly dry, firm and aromatic. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an immensely dense, meaty and velvety texture. The finish of this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of Fuflus from Vallarom
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Fuflus cuvée from Vallarom is Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here the vines drive their roots deep into limestone soils. After being hand-picked, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the organically produced Fuflus is aged for a further 18 months in oak barriques.
