The Grechetto Poggio Della Costa from the Lazio wine-growing region presents itself in the glass with a dense golden yellow. On the nose, this white wine from Sergio Mottura reveals all kinds of ripe apple, green apple, mirabelle plum and lemon. As if that were not already impressive, mint/melissa is added thanks to maturation in stainless steel.

This Italian wine impresses with its straightforward dry taste profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite its dryness, this Italian delights with the finest balance. Flavor does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful white wine is wonderfully crisp and fleshy. The finish of this white wine from the Lazio wine-growing region is ultimately marked by a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the volcanic rock-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Grechetto Poggio Della Costa by Sergio Mottura

This white wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Grechetto. For this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Sergio Mottura, only first-class grapes were harvested. In Lazio, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on volcanic rock soils. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
