Vinification of the Il Pino di Biserno Toscana 1.5 l Magnum from Tenuta di Biserno
The powerful Il Pino di Biserno Toscana 1.5 l Magnum from Italy is a cuvée made from the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Tuscany. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay, sand and loess. Of course, the Il Pino di Biserno Toscana 1.5 l Magnum is also determined by the climate and the Toscana IGT wine-growing style. This Italian can literally be described as a wine of the Old World, which presents itself in an exceptionally elegant manner. The fact that the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate also has an undeniable influence on the ripening of the grapes. Among other things, this results in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimum ripeness. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by ageing on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
