More information about Julius Rosso Conero - Silvano Strologo
The Julius Rosso Conero from Silvano Strologo from the Marche region offers a bright, ruby-red color in the swirled glass. This single-varietal Italian wine reveals wonderfully complex notes of sour cherry, plum, blueberry and blackberry in the glass. Added to this are hints of red currant and black cherry.
This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian charmer delights, despite all its dryness, with the finest balance. Aroma simply does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Balanced and complex, this crisp, light and silky red wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this red wine from the Marche wine-growing region finally delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of sour cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils are also added.
Vinification of the Julius Rosso Conero from Silvano Strologo
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Montepulciano. Only flawless grape material was used for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Silvano Strologo. In the Marche, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
