More information about Langhe Chardonnay DOC Elioro - Cordero di Montezemolo
With the Cordero di Montezemolo Langhe Chardonnay Elioro, a first-class white wine is poured into the glass. It has a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. After the first swirl, you can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The first nose of the Langhe Chardonnay Elioro reveals pineapple, star fruit and oranges. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
The Cordero di Montezemolo Langhe Chardonnay Elioro is wonderfully dry for wine lovers. This white wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the icon wine segment. The Langhe Chardonnay Elioro is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its vital fruit acidity. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region is delightfully long. There are again hints of pink grapefruit and lemongrass.
Vinification of the Langhe Chardonnay Elioro by Cordero di Montezemolo
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Chardonnay. Only flawless grapes were harvested for this exceptionally balanced single-varietal wine from Cordero di Montezemolo. There is no doubt that the Langhe Chardonnay Elioro is also determined by the climatic and stylistic factors of the Langhe DOC. This Italian wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word and is extraordinarily impressive. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for 6 months in French oak barrels.
