With Draga Miklus Ribolla Gialla, a first-class white wine finds its way into the glass. It presents a wonderfully bright, pale yellow color. This varietal Italian wine reveals in the glass delightfully expressive notes of mirabelle plum, lemon, apple, and pear. There are also hints of lime.
On the palate, Draga’s Miklus Ribolla Gialla starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruit-forward, and balanced. On the tongue, this harmonious white wine is characterized by an extremely crisp and fleshy texture. The finish of this white wine from the Friuli Venezia Giulia wine-growing region ultimately convinces with a lovely aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral facets from the sandstone- and clay-dominated soils.
Vinification of Draga Miklus Ribolla Gialla
This white wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Ribolla Gialla. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Draga. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Here the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and sandstone. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation in small and large wooden barrels follows at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Miklus Ribolla Gialla is aged for several months in oak barriques.
