With the Agricola Punica Montessu Isola dei Nuraghi comes a first-class red wine in the swirled glass. Here it offers a wonderfully dense, crimson color. If you give it some air by swirling, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. With a little time in the glass, this red wine from Italy reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of plum, blackberry, blueberry and black cherry, rounded out by sun-warmed rocks, cinnamon and black tea.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.2 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in this price range, this Italian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Montessu Isola dei Nuraghi flatters with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this good storable from the wine-growing region of Sardinia finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of blackberry and black currant.

Vinification of the Montessu Isola dei Nuraghi from Agricola Punica

The basis for the powerful Montessu Isola dei Nuraghi from Sardinia are grapes from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Merlot and Syrah. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
