More information about Nenfro Montepulciano - Sergio Mottura
In the glass, the organically produced Nenfro Montepulciano from Sergio Mottura offers a bright ruby-red color. The first nose of the Nenfro Montepulciano presents notes of raspberries and blackberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by barrel-aging notes such as licorice and black cherry.
This wine impresses with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with an exceptionally low residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian, despite all its dryness, delights with a most delicate balance. After all, flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, this balanced red wine is characterized by an immensely creamy, fleshy and dense texture. On the finish, this red wine from the Lazio wine region ultimately captivates with a lovely length. Once again, hints of blackberry and raspberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the volcanic rock-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Nenfro Montepulciano by Sergio Mottura
This well-balanced red wine from Italy is organically produced from the Montepulciano grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lazio. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Nenfro Montepulciano can continue to harmonize for 12 months on the fine lees.
