The Fattoria di Rodano Poggialupi presents itself to the wine enthusiast wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as one might expect from such a wine. Smooth and complex, this silky red wine offers a harmonious palate. The finish impresses with remarkable length, once again revealing hints of strawberry and raspberry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils add to the complexity.

Vinification of Fattoria di Rodano Poggialupi

The basis for the first-class and beautifully balanced Poggialupi cuvée from Fattoria di Rodano are Sangiovese and Merlot grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Tuscany. The vines extend their roots deep into limestone soils. The grapes for this Italian red wine are harvested exclusively by hand once optimal ripeness has been achieved. After harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently destemmed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by an 8-month aging process in oak barrels.
