The Rethium from Castel Noarna in Trentino-Alto Adige presents a bright, platinum-yellow color in the wine glass. The mousse of this sparkling wine shimmers in the glass. On the nose, this Castel Noarna sparkling wine displays all kinds of lemons, brioche, peaches and green apple. As if that were not already impressive, gorse is also added thanks to maturation in large wooden casks.
On the palate, the Rethium from Castel Noarna opens wonderfully dry, firm and aromatic. On the tongue, this well-balanced sparkling wine is characterized by an extremely crisp, light and creamy texture. On the finish, this wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige winegrowing region delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of peach and green apple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Rethium from Castel Noarna
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Rethium cuvée from Castel Noarna is Chardonnay, Nosiola and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on limestone soils. After being hand-picked, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines.
