Vinification of Giacobbe Alberto Riserva Lepanto Cesanese Del Piglio Superiore
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Cesanese d'Affile. Only the best grape material was used for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Giacobbe Alberto. In Lazio, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house, where they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
