More information about Riserva Montefalco Rosso - Adanti

In the glass, the Riserva Montefalco Rosso from Adanti presents a brilliantly shimmering ruby red color. The nose showcases a variety of sour cherry, plum, blackberry, and black currant. As if that weren't impressive enough, additional aromas of tobacco and licorice come from the aging in small wooden barrels.

On the palate, the Riserva Montefalco Rosso from Adanti opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven, and balanced. This velvety red wine presents itself light-footedly and multifaceted on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the wine region of Umbria ultimately delights with an extraordinary aftertaste. The finish is accompanied by mineral facets from the clay-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Riserva Montefalco Rosso from Adanti

The basis for the first-class and beautifully elegant cuvée Riserva Montefalco Rosso from Adanti consists of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Sagrantino grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Umbria. The vines dig their roots deep into clay soils here. The wine berries for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when perfectly ripe. After harvesting, the grapes quickly arrive at the winery. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then occurs in small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the light-footed Riserva Montefalco Rosso is aged for an additional 12 months in barrels made of Slavonian oak.

Food Recommendation for Adanti Riserva Montefalco Rosso

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It pairs perfectly with lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, or ossobuco.
