More information about Sauvignon Terlaner - Stachlburg Baron von Kripp

The Sauvignon Terlaner from the wine-producing region Trentino-Alto Adige appears in the glass in a dense pale yellow. The bouquet of this white wine from Trentino-Alto Adige excites with notes of peach. As we delve further into the aromatic profile, licorice is added.

The Stachlburg Baron von Kripp Sauvignon Terlaner tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with an exceptionally low residual sugar content. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly distinguishes itself from simpler qualities and, of course, enchants this Italian with a fine balance despite its dryness. Aroma doesn't necessarily require residual sugar. Full-bodied and multi-faceted, this buttery white wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine region impresses with remarkable length. Again, hints of peach are evident. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the Stachlburg Baron von Kripp Sauvignon Terlaner

This powerful white wine from Italy is made organically from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines producing the grapes for this wine grow on limestone soils. The grapes for this Italian white wine are harvested exclusively by hand when perfectly ripened. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. They are sorted and gently crushed. Then, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Sauvignon Terlaner can mature for several months on fine lees to further harmonize.

Food pairing recommendation for the Stachlburg Baron von Kripp Sauvignon Terlaner

Enjoy this organic white wine from Italy ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompaniment to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, chickpea curry, or pumpkin casserole.
