More information about Barbaresco Rabajà Riserva DOCG - Castello di Verduno
The Barbaresco Rabajà Riserva from Castello di Verduno in Piedmont shows a dense, ruby red color in the wine glass. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in church windows at the edge of the glass. With a little time in the glass, this red wine from the Old World presents wonderfully expressive aromas of morello cherry, damson, black cherry and plum, rounded off with gingerbread spice, cinnamon and sun-warmed stone contributed by barrel ageing.
This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. The finish of this well-matured red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, more precisely from Barbaresco DOCG, impresses with a beautiful finish.
Vinification of the Castello di Verduno Barbaresco Rabajà Riserva
The basis for the powerful Barbaresco Rabajà Riserva from Piedmont are grapes from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The Barbaresco Rabajà Riserva is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
