The fruity components of the bouquet are complemented by notes from barrel aging, such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the palate, the Frappato Bio from Baroni di Pianogrillo begins wonderfully dry, full-bodied, and aromatic. The texture of this well-balanced red wine is delightfully silky. The finish of this red wine from the Sicilian wine region, specifically from Terre Siciliane IGT, impresses with a noteworthy aftertaste. Vinification of the Frappato Bio from Baroni di Pianogrillo
This well-balanced red wine from Italy is organically cultivated from the Frappato grape. In Sicily, the vines producing the grapes for this wine grow on clay soils. When optimal physiological ripeness is achieved, the grapes for the Frappato Bio are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of strenuous and less selective machinery. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation completes, the elegant Frappato Bio is matured for several months in oak barrels.
