The Maestro Raro Cabernet Sauvignon from Felsina is a single-varietal, characterful and first-class red wine from the Italian wine-growing region of Tuscany.

In the glass, this wine shimmers in a deep dark red with violet highlights. The nose delights in an expressive bouquet that reveals intense berry aromas (elderberry, raspberries, and blackberry), complemented by spicy notes of tobacco, leather and subtle hints of black tea. On the palate, this Italian red wine pampers with a warm texture and a harmonious body. With remarkable elegance and persistence, this wine finishes with a long finale.

Vinification of Felsina Maestro Raro

The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this red wine come from the vineyards Rancia Piccola (also called Mastro Raro) and Poggiolo.

The grapes are strictly selected and, in Felsina’s cellar, first destemmed and pressed. The must then undergoes fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. During this process, the must is pumped over daily and the cap is punched down.

This wine is aged for 18–20 months in French oak barrels. Before Felsina Maestro Raro Cabernet Sauvignon leaves the winery, this red wine is further refined harmoniously in the bottle for 8–10 months.
