Vinification of the Pradalupo Roero Arneis from Fontanafredda
This elegant white wine from Italy is made from the Arneis grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, limestone and marl. When perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for Pradalupo Roero Arneis are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pradalupo Roero Arneis is allowed to harmonize further on the fine lees for 6 months. Ageing in wooden barrels is followed by extensive bottle ageing, which makes this white wine even more complex. Once the wine is finished, the Pradalupo Roero Arneis is carefully harmonized.
