More information about Roero Arneis DOCG - Prunotto

Presented in the glass, the Roero Arneis from the house of Prunotto displays a bright, pale yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from Piedmont impresses with notes of star fruit, mango, guava, and linden. Its particularly fruit-driven character makes this wine so special.

On the palate, the Roero Arneis from Prunotto unfolds wonderfully dry, full-bodied, and aromatic. The texture of this well-balanced white wine is delightfully light, crisp, and velvety. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine region of Piedmont, specifically from Roero DOCG, is characterized by an impressive aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the soils dominated by clay and sand.

Vinification of Prunotto Roero Arneis

This balanced white wine from Italy is produced from the Arneis grape variety. In Piedmont, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand, clay, and marl. The grapes for this Italian white wine are harvested exclusively by hand once they are perfectly ripe. After manual harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here, they are carefully sorted and gently destemmed. Subsequently, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food pairing recommendations for Prunotto Roero Arneis

This Italian wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is ideally suited as a pairing wine for wok vegetables with fish, fried trout with ginger-pera, or coconut-lime fish curry.
