The Heredad Reserva Brut DO of Segura Viudas is an absolute premium cava from the grape varieties Macabeo (67%) and Parellada (33%).
Not only the decorative bottle with the pewter base is a real eye-catcher, but also the brilliant golden yellow color with silver highlights. The perlage shows with long-lasting and fine strings of pearls. On the nose, this sparkling wine from Spain presents ripe yeast tones with fruity notes of citrus and yellow fruits. The palate is spoiled by notes of dried apricot and nuances of lime and forest honey. The long finish reflects once again the wonderful aromas.
Vinification of the Heredad Reserva Brut
The grapes for this cava from Segura Viudas are carefully harvested by hand. From 15-20 year old vines come the Macabeo and Parellada grapes. After the first temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged on its lees for 30 months (bottle fermentation).
Food recommendation for Reserva Heredad
This cava is a great food companion to Asian cuisine - such as Nasi Goreng, Saté skewers with peanut sauce or even Curry Rendang - Spanish tapas and to fine liver pates and hard cheeses.
