More information about Dolcetto d'Alba DOC - Bruno Giacosa

The Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from Casa Vinicola Bruno Giacosa is ruby red in the glass with violet nuances. On the nose, this traditional wine from Piedmont has a typical vinous aroma with crisp aromas of blueberries, blackberries and black cherries. Dry, full-bodied and juicy on the palate, the tannins and acidity complement each other and give the Dolcetto d'Alba its special character, which is emphasized by the long finish with a pleasant, delicately bitter aftertaste typical of the grape variety.

Vinification of the Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from Bruno Giacosa

For this fine Dolcettod'Alba, 100% of the autochthonous grape variety of the same name is vinified, which comes from the vineyards of the historic suppliers of the Bruno Giacosa winery. The wine undergoes alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, as well as ageing for several months.

Dining recommendations for the Dolcetto d'Alba from Bruno Giacosa

This typical red wine from Piedmont is often drunk by the Piedmontese themselves, with simple, rustic dishes from the regional cuisine. It goes particularly well with antipasti, carpaccio or carne cruda with raw veal, pasta, risotto, braised or traditional bollito, cooked beef with vegetables, offal, soft cheeses, but also as an ingredient for fruit in wine.
